Recently got two baby boy piggies and they are now 6/7 weeks old. One is very confident and will let you stroke him and they other runs about his hutch which I understand is normal. I took some advise from a previous thread and was putting the more nervous one in a towel for cuddles (they have a cuddle every day) but this doesn't seem to have done much. Today Hattie was frantic, running all over me and trying to escape. He was getting out of the towel and even bit (well nipped) me twice - one I think he was trying to eat my necklace! I had offered him carrot which his brother happily ate but he didn't want his.
I am doing the right thing getting him out every day or should I leave him for a bit. He talks after a while of getting him out. I am so new to this I have no idea if this is normal behaviour or not.

Continue to take him out each day, by the sounds of it, your boar has had a bit of a mad day! It may be the hormones, or may just be a bit agitated and wanting to get back in the hutch. Boars can go a little crazy some times, but I have no experience with boars, so don't take my word for it!

I did clean then out today so that may have ruffled his fur

Just be patient and persist. Not all guinea pigs like being cuddled, but most will eventually at least tolerate a short cuddle of about 5-10 minutes once they have realised that nothing is going to happen to them and that they get a lot of encouragement and a little treat out of it. Youngsters are often struggling to sit still and can easily panic.
If necessary, cuddle them together in your lap, so your skittish boy can take his cues from his mate.

One of the problems is they are actually my daughters piggies that she got for her 7th birthday recently so she wants to cuddles them. I tend to give her the more confident one but might try snuggling them in something together on her lap.

Each piggie is different, and each piggie has a different toleration scale, Lola today was a little hyper too, but it was only movement in a certain holding positions. Lily usually has lap time for around 10 mins, then she starts to move, and Lola will sit there for 20 mins, you see the difference in each piggie.
