In my Guinea Pig's shed mainly! LOL
Okay, so it's nothing really big i don't think, but i'm a real worrier, and after searching it on these topics ive become really upset.

okay so the white rim around Penelope's eye is a bit brown (but it's always been like that, i assumed because she herself is dark in colour), and in the white of her right eye ive noticed a little bit of red, sort of like what humans have in their white. but she doesn't seem to be in pain whatsoever, and i'm totally hopeless and can't remember whether she's had it since i had or if its new, ive just noticed it yesterday.

after seeing some other peoples post about eyes and being put to sleep I'm starting to worry, please help!

its not big at all, and she doesnt seem to be in pain... please help!!

I have no experience with eyes - sorry I can't help. If it's worrying you that much perhaps a vet visit is a good idea to put your mind at ease.

Can you take a photo & post it up? Then that will give us a better idea of what you mean? :)

Okay, I will in a few minutes. A bit of a better despriction however is:
The white rim of her eye is tinted brown, but it has always been this way. Towards the corner of her eye, she has a small red line/blob, like humans have in the white of their eyes.

Unfortunatily like i said, I can't remember if she's always had this or not.. :(

Have you had a good look in her eye for any hay pieces/seeds at all? Could it be a hay seed growing? Has she got a runny eye or any cloudiness in it?

No, no runny eye or cloudiness, she was squinting a little a few days ago, but not for very long.
Not really, I'll have a look. It's just that's she quite nippy so I never really get very far.

I'll take a picture aswell - thanks for the advice. :)

Try distracting her with some food on your lap. I would think if she has been blinking the eye she has either got something in it, or has had something in it. If you aren't confident to remove it or it looks inflamed I would seek a vet's help. :)

Thank you for your help, but it seems to have calmed down on it's own now and isn't looking red at all - I have to really squint and go very close (whilst focusing hard) to be able to see it, and even then, it's a very small line. Otherwise, she seems her usual peppy self, and even on the photos I couldn't seem to get it to show haha.

I am a total worry wort! :( lol

Thanks again guys, especially Poppy'sMum :)
