What do you think? Is it nothing?

Poor Fred. Is it an open sore or a scab? It's hard to tell from the photo. Has he had any apple or tomato? (I'm sure you've already thought of this but only thing I know of that can cause mouth sores). I'm sure someone else will think of something more helpful.

Well I'm sure it is sore it's yellow and doesn't look to have blood... So I'm guessing a sore, doesn't look like a wound!

He has had tomato... but there is a dispute over if such things cause this. It's not bothering him atall wondering if I have to do anything with it or just leave it be?

Tomato is getting removed from there diet neway, shame They love it!

Yes, I'd read different thoughts on tomato as well. Mine get the outside and I eat the inside just in case. I assumed that it was the juicy bit that could cause problems but am only guessing.
Hope Fred's sore clears up soon. x

He will let me touch it's half hanging off.. I could pull the scab off but don't want to hurt him.

My pigs get these from time to time, esspecially Wendall. The first time they both got them I booked them in for the vet, but the appoinment was in a few days, by the time it came to taking them in the sores had gone away. Wendall gets them maybe once a month or so, but they only last a few days and go away. I'm not sure what it is that is causing them, I need to keep a better record of foods.
I would say to just leave it, if it is getting better and there is no blood or infection.

Just an update, I tried to pull it off last night, but it seemed well attached. I decided best to leave it a few days and this morning it was gone. Fred must have pulled it off himself :)!
