Please could you send Fred round to my house ?/ My niece could do with a good bite :))

Bless him - he either mistook her finger for food or was miffed about the lack of it! rolleyes

I told her there was a lesson in it, don't stick your hand in the piggies cage.. I think he did think she was food! :))

Adleast she'll give him peace now!

Lol couldnt help but laugh. So many parents get iffy with me when i speak to their children and ask them not to put their hands in the cages when they visit our animals rolleyes If they put their fingers in Storms bars they would surly lose a finger. The little mere bit me this morning pow-pow (storm is a rabbit btw)

Her finger may have smelled of food so he thought he'd grab his chance to get some before the girls spotted it;)

I always make it clear, if folk poke their fingers in Rogers cage they will probably pull back a stump!

You know what kids are like, they have to touch EVERYTHING. She may have touched something that smelled pretty yummy to Fred.

Poor chap, I bet he was equally as shocked and probably a little down when he realised there was no food involved :))

I think Fred is miffed it wasn't food... ohwell the important thing is he has never bit me :)) lmao...

I'm an evil auntie... but I do tell her not to put her fingers in... so ohwell what can you do!

jules is like that if i have washed my hands in anything minty or something he likes to nibble but i know he doesny mean it - well hopefully anyway!1:)

I used to have a rabbit and it was really mean ,many a morning I would put my hand in thinking he was in a good mood and he would just pounce, when on the garden he would chase the dog and cats no one was safe, he didn't even mellow with age he lived to about 8.

Did he used to growl?
I had a Rabbit that used to growl at me :{ She was a meanie but you can't help but love them!
I think they work on the "Treat them' mean, keep them' keen" idea. :))

Sheila and Poppet were running around the kitchen floor this morning while I was sat at the table eating my breakfast. Suddenly I felt an awful pain on my big toe! Sheila had taken a bite out of it! No doubt thinking it was food! :))

I'm sorry that happened to your niece!

Ava( 4 year old daughter) was one of those kids that just never learnt to be gentle and loving to animals, as mean as it sounds the only way she learnt was by the animals letting her know the limits.
The piggies never had her harrassing them as she had gotten better before they came along and i wouldnt have let her anywhere near them anyhow lol.
When i first got Molly(cocker spaniel) from the pound she was an inside dog all the time and Ava got on her nerves so badly doing things like chasing molly/pulling ears when i wasnt looking and one day ,Molly had enough and nipped her hand, she didnt draw blood but it was a warning, now Molly and Ava are best friend due to Avas changed attitude
I had told he not to stick her fingers through the rat cage bars when i had my previous rats and she never listened, she only got a mild nip but it was enough to learn.
She now has alot of respect for them and doesnt get in there faces thankfully
