I was given this hutch by a neighbor and I've never used it as I have bunnies and my bunnies are indoors. The guy had guinea pigs in it though but I dont think the cage was ever cleaned properly so if anyone wants it then it could do with a little scrub.
The guy who gave it to me added a base along the bottom of the run (not sure why) this can be taken off as it's only nailed on.
No guinea pigs died in it, they were upgraded!

The cage measurements are.....
Length- 117cm
Width- 70cm
Height at tallest point- 103cm

The roof lifts up for access to the top. There are 2 seperate doors on the top. 2 doors (side and front) on the bottom. It has a pull out tray. And a hatch over the ladder.
The metal bit dangling in the pics is the hinge to the roof as it's not attatched properly right now.

I am in Cambridgeshire (cb22 7rp) if anyone wants it.

I know it's not the best looking cage but I think with a clean (I have lower back problems so couldn't even clean it before I took the pics) and a lick of paint it will be a great hutch. It is very sturdy.

Free to the first person that can come and collect it.
I hope this can be of use to someone.

awwwwww i wished i lived closer 8... i would so snap this of your hands the OH is good at fixing things up this will go in know time

I hope someone does want it sooner rather than later.
I have tried giving it away for months but no-one will take it!

I'm moving home early next year so I need it gone and would rather give it away for free than have it go to a rubbish tip.

typical i was looking for and ended up having to buy a hutch last month! :( I'm in melbourn so might take it as a spare just incase but depends if i can find somebody to come and get it :S

Could you maybe give your local guinea or rabbit rescue a call? rescue centres often need hutches and they will likely take one off your hands (come and collect it even!)
I'm not a rabbit person so have no idea if its big enough/suitable but I'm sure a piggy rescue could use it. There is a site called guinea pig rehome that lists all the rescue centres in england, you can just look up your area on that, and give the nearest one a ring (there is a rabbit rehome website too if its suitable for rabbits. :) )

Hope that helped, saves it going to the tip!

Hello, if you are not going to give this to a rescue centre I would love to take it off of your hands to house my rescued baby pigs in over this winter and those to follow, as at the moment they are in a big hutch during the day and 2x2x2 foot wodden box at night as they are very small babies but it's less than ideal and I have ordered a snugglesafe heat pad...however, I live in Kent, would you be prepared to organise a courier and I could send you a secure payment by either pay pal or cheque? OR I could organise it all and pay for it my end and you would need to be there just for collection of the hutch?

Await your reply thanks x

@Mrs.B, if you can arrange a courier and pay for it then I'm more than happy to wait in for the courier.
Only thing is would I have to box up the hutch? As that may be a little difficult. If it can just be picked up like it is then you're welcome to have it.

I have asked every local rescue I know of and they dont need any more hutches.

Hello, thanks for your reply. I don't know if it's possible to PM on this site (I'm new here lol!) but can't see how to if you can. I did have a cheeky look into couriers last night in the hopes it would be a thumbs up from you :) and it's under £10 that size if less than 30kg I'm assuming it wouldbe around that when I looked at some other hutches but can't be sure but how would they know unless they weighed it? Do they weigh items lol?! I must admit I didn't look into packing but I had kind of assumed that it's a sturdy hutch and packing not really necessary plus wouldn't dream of asking you to with your back. The worse case scenario I think is it might have to be covered but ? just newpaper would do I'm sure - I will go off now and have a look at parcel forces finer details. But thankyou so much for getting back to me :) x

hope this helps, we sold a table on ebay a while back, and that was delivered to buyer via courier, and that didnt need to be packed up. they just put it in the van as it was xx

No, newspaper just wont cut it! If item is damaged with no or bad protection there is no compensation cover. My good friend is a courier for a different nationwide company and he has said that little care is taken by some drivers/depot workers where items are moved from van to depot and depot to van and the vans are packed up to the roof! I completely understand if you can't or don't wish to package this item it's not like it's small is it lol! I think we should just go for it and see what happens, worth the gamble for £8.99 plus vat I think, thankyou :)

Hi thanks for that, was it quite local delivery wise and what courier company was it? I'm just a little worried as I'm not sure how much 'handling' it will go through from Cambridgeshire to Kent :{ maybe I could call them and ask them? There is the site Shiply but I've never used it.

Hhhhhmmm I have some old cardboard boxes so I could get my brother to wrap those around it no problem. Hopefully the hutch will make it to you in one piece!

Here is my email address as I'm not too sure how to pm on here either.
