Freerange and boys

Hiya

As some of you know Sammy is now living with the girls as he has been neutered

I was wondering if anyone out there had succesfully housed either freerange or otheriwse nuetered boars meaning more than one with a group of females

I think ive already resigned myself that Sammy and Nigel would never get on but wondered whether to get a younger boar or older and maybe have him neutered

Any ideas anyone
 
Though it's a difficult thing to do, it's not impossible. The more space they have the better the chances, as well as the personalities of the boars themselves.

Not advisable as it's very likely they will fight at some point and as you can't be with them to observe 24/7....it's not in my opinion worth the risk. When boars fight seriously, they can literally slash each other with their teeth and rip ears off.

That's the worst scenario!

Makles can and do live happily in bonded pairs, but I meant to sress that this was less likely if there are girls living very closely. It would be nigh on impossible if they were living in a pen with girls :)
