I've been woken up so many times to tonight as Freya keeps rumblestrutting towards Flora, this has been going on since I got them though. I noticed rumbling the second day and hoped it was if she was in season but it hasn't stopped.

It's like having a pair of boars, did not expect this with my first sows, I hope it'll get better, for poor Flora too.

This is how sows are when in season. My gang are in the same room as me and during that time I am woken all night! It is worse when both are in season at the same time. :)

I have to girls and like that, the first episode beg of they year, wee minnie rumblestrutting, unhappy annoying maxi... got her treated for mites as she was itching as well. things seemed to calm down.. then couple of months ago now, started again, it went for about 4 weeks! she was itching as well (think that was nervous itch) both piggies were very distressed.. took minnie to vet, got ultrasound, checked over, she was underweight, probably *** she was so anxious all the time.. the vet agreed it was hormonal with no sign of cystic ovaries so decided to try choluron injections first,, FANTASTIC! 1 inj then another 7 days later.. both piggies very happy, no rumblestrutting, no annoying, no dominance issues.. keep an eye on her..its such a shame! i am afraid i've learnt its a process of elimination with the least invasive and less harmful method first and also advice from members here..

hope she feels better soon...
