Freya’s piggies!

A very exciting morning spent searching for Florence when it came to breakfast time, we looked all round the cage but she was not to be seen!
Turns out she was fast asleep camouflaging in a pile of hay! She had to be woken up as the hay disguise was good enough she didn’t even hear breakfast coming 🤣

Anyone who posts about trying to not waste hay hasn't experienced the utter joy that piggies get from a big pile of it yet ❤️
Mine may get joy from looking at it but they never play or hide in it; they instantly trample the lot so hiding isn't possible.

I floof and pile it back up for them and they instantly turn it into a carpet again.

No imagination, my two. The hidey must be built for them; it must be a box or a tunnel.

Florence is the first of my piggies to have hidden in the hay like this, my rb boy’s Smudge and Smokey used to flatten it all down 🤣 She’s now teaching winston how to hide away though and we had two hidden piggies this afternoon!

It was weigh day today and little Florence is growing very quickly! She’s now 660g, catching up with Mabel who’s 783g and Winston at 959g 🥰

Florence stole Mabel’s tunnel from her (and is sitting in it lopsided!) so Mabel has taken it upon herself to create her own tunnel from the fleece 🤣
After having my boys for so long and getting used to OAP’s I forgot how busy the young once are!
There are some new fleecy tunnels on the way for them though!

Florence sounds like my Gaia. :xd:

Mabel seems to be very creative and has a can-do attitude. I'm sure she will survive Florence's petty behaviour.

So it seems sleeping under the fleece is catching on and is so much better than any of the hides I provide since Florence has decided she wants to join in with Mabel’s fun - can you spot her tiny little face 🤣IMG_8053.webp
Now that the two week bonding period is over we’re going to be adding in some one entrance hides, mostly the snuggle sacks since they were always very popular with my RB boys and by the way the girls are sleeping under the fleece I think they’re going to love them too! But I have aLao ordered them some new fleecy tunnels since Winston struggles to turn around in the snuggle sacks with all his fluff so I think he’ll prefer these.
