Teenage Guinea Pig
I have a quick question regarding Friendhip Estates' Readi Oats.
From what I see comparing the analytical content of Readi Grass and Green Oats, Readi Oats seems much less rich (protein is 11% compared to 15% in Readi Grass, oils are 2% compared to 3%) and the calcium and phosphorus are less (0.41%:0.26% (Ca
) in Green Oats compared to 0.55%:0.27% (Ca
) in Readi Grass).
Can I give a generous pinch of Readi Oats daily, shared between two guinea pigs, in addition to unlimited hay? They love it, and the analytical content seems reasonably safe. They are still growing - one is 12 months, and the other is 5 months.
