I'm considering rehoming some females for Frodo but I am unsure of where to start...

Awww mate.... so tricky isn't it. He is neutered yes? The issue with Scotland is the lack of rescues isn't it.... How is he doing and how are you doing? x

I think the first thing I would do is find a good vet that I would trust for a neuter. If that wasn't possible then I would resign myself to having to find another boar.

Contact as many rescues are you can to ask for their advice, even if they know of a good vet and to see what guineas they have. I know a few rescues in NE England rehome further North.

He is neutered. I am not doing well as I have been having a lot of panic attacks. Frodo has been a lot more outgoing and even sleeps out in the open now which he wasn't doing before, it's strange!

I am sorry mate, you have had an awful time losing your babies :(

It sounds like he is doing what Putt did after we lost Pitch, some piggies cope really well a lot better than others. At least you don't have to rush into anything too fast.

Sorry your not doing to well. I also suffer from panic attack, the only way to go is rescue, if you don't drive what about a friend driving.

I am now taking antidepressants again which I didn't want to do but I was unable to get anything done due to the panicking. I haven't even cried for Quinn and I don't know why..

I think Frodo was lucky as they didn't have a really close bond since they were not together for a long time :(

Yeah, take your time. Give Frodo lots of loving.

I lost one of my boys a few weeks ago and it's awful. Hope you feel okay soon.

I can drive but haven't been driving due to the panic attacks.

Anti-Depressants are a tool to help you Annie if you gotta take them then take them.

You are in grief mate, everyone's journey through grief is different and personal to them, there is no one way that you should be feeling at any point in time - the steps of grief are not linear and occur in any order sometimes simultaneously. You are still in shock by the sounds of it at the moment and are numb. The tears will come in time for Quinn. I felt numb with Dad for weeks and weeks and barely cried. Be kind to yourself. Huge hugs x

Ditto to the above. It does affect us in different ways and don't feel bad for taking anti-depressants. I've relied on anti-anxiety meds a few times.

I had a meltdown on the day when I had to take him to be cremated but have been a bit numb since. It takes time to register. We love these little creatures so much that it devastates us when they are no longer here.

Take care and please feel free to reach out to any of us. We know how it feels x

I'm on anti-depressants all for the time. Would you go to the dreaded P&H you are knowledgeable enough to know if they are fit & healthly.
I think getting some more piggies would perk you up.
When you are feeling a little better, you will cry for Quinn & think of him.
As the sweetheart he was.
It maybe Quinn that has started your depression, I know it's a hell of a shock
Best thing is to maybe go on chat, talking is the best thing for sadness.
Healing vibes to you, & see you on chat soon.

What is chat?

I am not going to get new piggies right now although I would consider the dreaded P&H if I had to x
