Front leg limping

Hello,

This is my first post in this forum. I have 2 guinea pigs and they are very adorable.
In last couple of days, I found one (Potato) is a bit limping, I think with his right front leg. It's not serious, he's just less mobility and not active as usual. Still eat and drink as usual, I just noticed that he's not comfortable with right front leg, like he try not to use it as much as possible.
What should I do with him? Should I bring him to see the vet or keep watching him for a few days.

Please do take him to the vet. Injuries can occur very easily and they almost always require anti-inflammatory pain meds.

In the meantime we advise that you switch from the routine weekly weight checks and instead weigh him daily. Weight checks are the only way to know a piggy is eating enough hay (hay intake can’t be gauged by eye). Pain can stop them from eating enough so the daily weight checks become vital to allow you to step in with any necessary syringe feeding in the event of weight loss

Which vet do you go to ?
If you are on the east side of York and have transport there is an excellent piggy vet in Stamford Bridge at Battle Flatts Vet practice.

I have booked an appointment with vets4pets tomorrow afternoon. Hopefully he’ll be OK

I brought him to the vets yesterday, and they think he's fine, may have a slightly swollen with his front leg. Gave him pain relief.
I could see he's much better this morning, more active and even a popcorning. I think pain relief works, just keep watching for a few days.
By the way, I don't think that vets have much experience with guinea pigs. They recommend another vet if he get worse.
