Heyoo folks, hope your all (and the piggies) warm this evening!

Righty I have a problem and need any suggestions on what to do, the hutch is covered with loft insulation apart from the 'front' which I'm covering up with three thick blankets, and plenty of hay/hideys/fleece cups for the boys. But the water bottle is freezing over, last night I set my alarm for 3 am so i could change the bottle.

It's covered up with bubble wrap and a thermal sock and is under the three layers of blankets but it's still freezing over,I've checked the boys over and they are lovely and toasty :) just the bottle is not! :(

Does anyone have any ideas of what else i could try to keep the bottle warm? I would bring a heater into the shed, but theres no elecy to it :( and last night temp dropped to minus eleven, it looks like we're in for another cold night again. Brrr!

I'm off to town tomorrow, so i can pick up some spare water bottles but does anyone have any more suggestions for tonight?

Thank you for your time to read
:)

unfortunately I wrapped my bottles in 2 layers of tinfoil and thick thermal socks and they still froze, I'm not sure what else to do:{
Someone on here suggested glycerine or something like that as it's supposed to stop the water freezing.
I put fresh water bottles out at 7.30am and bring the frozen ones in then at dinnertime when they're defrosted I swap them again and just keep up this routine all day but it'd be nice if I could find a better solution:(
My piggies are fine, in fact I think it's warmer in their hutches in the shed than in my house.
Any ideas anyone ?

Righty this is what I've created in hope that it'll work, if it does i'll post tomorrow :)

Layer of tin foil, layer of 6oz wadding, layer of bubble wrap,padded envelope, thermal sock - it's very thick!

Fingers crossed that'll work :))

My boy is inside now but what I was doing was giving him tepid boiled water morning and afternoon so he had some water for a while and just made sure he always had cucumber for water content I have up trying to stop the bottles freezing.

Thank you Claire, I've put some cumber down for the night and I taped a water bottle to the inside of the hutch in hope that it might not melt being in the warm hutch :)

I have had this with the rabbits and I am just changing their water as often as possible, on thing with them is though they still have access to the run and have been eating snow.

I have two sets of bottles, so I bring one set in to thaw and swap them for a warm set, repeat twice daily! Lots of watery veg. They will survive the night without water if they get enough veg during the day, but I know how you feel :{
