I was just having a browse around on the internet for gifts and toys for my piggies, when I came across an advert with pretty picture of a pig but I was shocked to see that the advert was selling frozen guinea pigs to be imported at £1.39 each! I was shocked :(

Am I just naive though and didn't realise this went on?

It's not just you, This is horrible. I don't understand who could feed a guineapig to a snake. I hope they died naturally. :(
 
I know,. Its disgusting. They have videos on you tube of snakes eating live guinea pigs and it's just the most upsetting thing I've ever seen. By the way, It wasn't me that was searching this, It was my friend who was looking for something completely different about Pythons!
 
Its no different to feeding a snake a frozen mouse or rat. Just because we like guinea pigs dosnt make it any more wrong than farming any other animal for food. They dont know any differently, they were bred solely for the snakes so as long as they were killed humanly i dont think its wrong. Just my opinion.

I agree I mean I wouldn't feed it either! But I wouldn't get a snake because of this reason. I don't think it's wrong to feed snakes what they need to stay alive, but I think it's wrong keeping snakes they are too exotic and too specialsed to just buy them in some store.
