I saw on another Guinea Pig Site they had a recipe for frozen Guinea Pig Treats, And they had what to put into it. But I changed it around a bit for the liking of Pumpkin & Snickerfritz taste. So I took Two different kinds of their favorite lettuce. Blended them together. And finely chopped an apple. And also blended it together with the lettuce... And then you add a little bit of water so it gets like pudding, But not too much water or it will get soupy. Then you get an Ice cube tray and pour the blended fruits and veggies into the cube shapes. And let it freeze for about and hour or two. So it's not hard as a rock, But frozen enough not to melt in their cage. :D
Pumpkin & Snickerfritz loved them! And we still have plenty left!

I'm afraid frozen fruits/vegetables should not be fed.
Frozen food carries bacteria that would upset a guinea pigs digestive system. They can only tolerate food in its natural state which is raw.

But the photos are lovely. :)

I don't know why everyone always thinks I am out to harm our Guinea Pigs. Thank you but I know what I am doing. That's why they are FROZEN and you should know to take them out before they melt:doh:

I agree that the photos are lovely. I like that this site is educational and supportive. Also can I just say that I just love your pigs names. super cute.

Of course not. I was just thinking it was helpful to give advice about the state of foods should be given. The only veg guinea pigs should eat is raw.

Please do not feel disheartened.
