I’m looking for a bit of advice. With this hot weather I was looking for things to give my girls to keep them cool.
There are some sites which give recipes for making frozen treats for piggies but I’m just not sure.
Has anyone done this before?
Thanks

Please avoid giving your piggy anything frozen as it can really upset their digestive system. Even things that have been frozen and then defrosted is also a big no no. As piggies don’t sweat they don’t tend to drink more in hot weather, so try to avoid giving too much watery veggies as it can cause diarrhoea, which can be very serious for a piggy. There’s an article on here about hot weather management but not sure where it is.

Please don’t give your piggies anything which has been frozen (or defrosted). It’s really not good for them. Ensure their drinking water is refreshed regularly so it is cool and avoid overdoing veg so you don’t upset their digestive system.
