Hi are fruit bags ok for Guinea pigs I'm just worried as they have something on them to stop them going brown

carbon dioxide is used , for preseving some frut , but l carnt see it being harmful

Well, this thread has got me googling . The cut fruit you get in little bags in supermarket meal deals and some fast food outlets is coated in something to stop the apples going brown . I can't find enough info to decide what it is precisely .
It's obviously harmless to humans , I can't see that it's in large enough quantities to harm guinea pigs but I'd sooner share a fresh apple with them than give mine pre cut fruit.

It was only as a one off I always usually get full fruit and share it :)

all fruit and veg should be thoroughly washed, whether in packets or not. most will have some chemical type products applied so aslong as you rinse it, it should be fine :)

I did give it them in the end as it was not a few pieces but as you said I did wash them quite well as I wanted to make sure everything was off it

I've shared these with my boys as a treat now and again, never done us any harm, just got nicer cuddles :-)
