I'm off to get some more fruit and veggies for the boys when they come home tomorrow (Yay! :(|) )

Just need a bit of advice.

I want to see what they think of strawberries, Ive never given them these before. How much can they have? Is it something I should moderate?

Also I've heard melon is good in this hot weather, is this watermelon minus the pips/seeds?

At the moment they have corn, cucumber, broccoli, green peppers and carrot.

I've been on the look out for curly kale but cant find any D:

Suggestions for foods to try would be appreciated :)

Mine love celery, I kow some people think it's too stringy but I've never found that to be a problem. All of mine love it, the darker green the better ( it's crunchier and less stringy ) and try and get some with plenty of leaves : they LOVE them! My piggies love melon as an occasional treat ( same with strawberries - don't give them to them too often, too sugary and they get sick of them pretty fast anyway ). Try them with tomatos ( not too often - quite acidic ) loads of vit c and refreshing, choose some nice firm ones and scoop the seeds out before giving them the chopped flesh ( NEVER EVER give them the tomato plant leaves or vine - poisonous).
Hope that helps. There's plenty of wild stuff out there that's in season at the mo too but if you're not confident identifying plants then best not bother.

fresh beetroot goes down a treat... just make sure you cut the leaves and stalks off....
small amounts of strawberries occasionally...
my lot love melon and have it once every couple of weeks....
celery.... they love the leafs... but chop it up in to small chunks so the strings dont get stuck in their teeth or throats...
orange is good aswell... but only every now and then...
romaine or chinese leaf lettuce...
brocoli...
baby cabage goes down a treat with my lot...
peppers...
apples...
kurly cale or spring greens...
corn on the cob...

:))

Parsley is a fave with my lot but only a very small amount, romaine lettuce always goes down well too.
They love all melons (minus seeds) apples, again only a small piece each due to the acidity, limit carrots due to high sugar content.
They have varying tastes and moods so buy lots of varieties and try not to give them the same thing two days in a row.
