Hi all

Quick query, we got the piggies almost 2 weeks ago now, so they are approx 9 1/2 weeks old.

We have noticed the The Stig is frantically growing and despite is few weeks of age is a real laid back piggie and quietly squeaks and talks back to us and has been purring, if that is the right word, when held and stroked.

Fudge however, he was a runt to begin with but is slowly putting on weight and growing and drinking plenty eating fresh veg and grass etc. so not worried about that. Lots of running about.

But The Stig speaks to him when I am holding them both and poor Fudge just can't speak bacj, he sounds to me like a moor hen ... he is desperately tryingt o answer The Stig or me and my husband when he is called and talked to but he just lets out a breathless sound or a sqwarking sound allbeit very quietly.

He doesn't seem to have a cold as they are still indoors and there is no sneezing, plenty of wees and poos so not worried about his health at all just he seems to have not much of a voice.

Anyone else had this or do I just have a piggie with a weak voice box? Do you think it will strengthen with age?

Also while I think on does anyone have pet insurance for their piggies?

I am away at the moment so may take a few days to get back online, thanks for your replies in advance.

We also have a pig, Fifi, who has no squeak. She tries her best to squeak but it just sounds breathy. She's lively and eats and drinks well. I just think she's got no squeak!

My Eccles has no wheek either, he tries and we get very small ones out of him but nothing too loud at all.

Some are like that its nothing to worry about. :)

I think it just makes them extra special if they can't squeak. Fifi sounds so cute trying to squeak!x)x)x)

i don't think my girl ruby has a squeak
the most she's ever done is a happy little clucking noise
but she seems in her own little world anyway so that might explain it =]

My little coconut doesn't make a sound! Along the way we have figured out that she is deaf because she also don't react to any sounds... Extra Special Piggies are the best <3 xoxo

Thanks for your replies eveyone .. much appreciated and put my mind at rest now.
