Looking for hay recommendations along the lines of Ings hay- soft, green, thin long strands.

Their current stock is just not the same hay, and their meadow .. Well we had problems with that too but it's all been resolved thankfully.

My girls have a first cut Timothy, green and stalky, a second cut Timothy with plenty seed heads ; normally a long thin green hay such as ings and then their treat hay which is something different most days of the week... Just struggling with an ings replacement.

If anyone knows of anything, that would be great! Ideally available in a 8-12kg bag, not worried about price.

Poor fudge is missing it!

Aww poor Fudge. Do you use hay and straw? (Used to be hay for pets) they sell lovely ings hay.

Yeah that's who I used- their current batch of ings is yellow and their meadow contains thistles.: fudge has just started a course of eye medication due to reacting to the thistles!

I agree the INGs had all sorts of things in it a while ago - BUT - I had a delivery of Meadow and INGS last week - and both are beautiful . I have heard the hay for dust free hay is good too.

That face! That face that face that FAAAAACE! Love you princess Fudgey! :luv::wub:

I LOVE the Timothy hay by American Pet Diner. It's long and green and smells so yummy. Unfortunately for me, they've stopped delivering to Australia!

You should try Dust Free Hay its amazing. Sometimes some of the batches are so sweet smelling even I wouldn't mind trying it! Its lovely and soft as well.
Used this when fudges breathing problems started due to her heart, but it was the Timothy so will try the softer one :-)

The ings was fine just yellow.. I called them up and said none of the pigs would touch it when it's normally their fave. They sent me a meadow bag instead. Had green in it but was still 50 50 yellow, and half way down the bag there was dried thistle plants... I came out in welts and fudge took a bad reactions in both eyes! They refunded me my money but told me it was just a bad season.. This was only 4 days ago so I'm suprised they didnt mention they had the good ings back? I'm scared to order again Incase it's still poor and they will wonder what I'm up to since I just had a refund.

Do they deliver to the uk? Is it thin strands?

I bought hay from here Timothy Hay | Hay Supplies UK a while ago and it went down very well. Long stalks and just in Stirling so pretty local. I'm not sure if your piggies would like it though!
Yup this is the only stalky hay they'll
Eat. It's fantastic hay, virtually dust free and so green! Been buying it a while now, just need another soft one for variety! Like to have all 3 cuts so they never get bored. Xx
