Hi there,

I posted a few days ago about one of my 6wk old boars who had what i believed was a fungal infection. After he knocked the scab off a day or so after me noticing it i immediately took him to the vets. They prescribed Surolan and Chlorhex and for the past 2 days ive been applying the Surolan twice daily

Ive tried to take a picture of the wound - does it look .like it's getting better? To me it looks like he's now got a bald patch as there is no hair where the wound is. (i know the image looks like it's weeping, but that's just because i'd just appiled Surolan to the area)

I want to know that the course ive action is the correct one and that i shouldn't be doing something else to help it heal.

Thanks for any advice/help

Is the bald patch spreading at all? As long as the skin looks a little healthier each day and the bald patch is not spreading, you are probably at least managing the problem. It may take a few days yet to see a noticeable improvement.
