"you owe me a chube. Whydo i owe you a chube.? because i had to bin davids. why did you bin davids? because he caught fungal from yours. How did he catch fungal from mine? SPORES. Right I'm going getting moaned at already"

She really is in cloud kookoo land!!

SHEEEEEEEEEEEESH...............
I so hope you two can talk this thru, ....... don't hold much hope but i do hope you can love.
She has to be responsible!

Wishing you luck love and also for the little ones who're obviously not being cared for, even tho your bro is trying !

HUGS XXXXXXXXXXXXXX

i doubt it tbh. there are alot of other issues i have with her. issues she refuses to acknowledge. like she stole a months rent from me (350) then she saying it was her money ?! she thinks she can be a **** but if she buys me something that makes it ok. shes a teacher so refuses to take onboard otherpeoples opinions. shes right everyone else is wrong. so thats the end of that i guess..

when she is at work why dont you just go and get the guineas or get your brother to bring them over to you? when she kicks off say you are going to call the RSPCA ! i know i would , and ive seen how bad fungals can get and seen a guinea pig fitting and screaming in pain because they are in that much pain is heart breaking, please, please dont sit and wait for her, take action now! or you will have 2 dead guinea pigs on your mind and that i promise!

Cheers for the guilt trip. Like i said at the begining shes a supply teacher so doesnt always work. My brother is doing his a levels so even if she was at work how would i get in? and thee are three guineas...

sorry if i made you feel bad but ive seen some horrid conditions of guinea pigs left with fungal issues and its just not on, parent or no parent.

i threatened my mother in law with the RSPCA if they didnt take their cat the vets all hell broke loose, until we said we are collecting the cat and will be taking it the vets, my mother in law agreed on the day as we said we will take it if they like it or not, turns out he needed pts as he had eye cancer and cancer all down his throat, and was in so much pain, yes my father in law wasnt happy and said we were not welcome in there house again but who cares.

we god rest her soul (mother in law), it all blew over and we were all ok after a few days as they we know we did the right thing.

i also had a run in with my hubbys son and his gfriend as their old cat has mammary tumors and one of them the size of a golf ball had burst, they said they didnt have the money to pay the vet bill even though they work, well i told them take the cat the vets or contact the RSPCA in the end after a few arguments they took the cat and paid out £300 and she had an op and is well now at aged 16yrs old.

sometimes you have to act as its NOT ok to sit back and watch ANY animal suffer regardless whom they belong to!

after all if we dont speak for them who will?

you mum isnt setting a very good example of how to look after animals, its normally the child that looses intreast!

Ive done what i can for those pigs. what more can i do. anyway I'm leaving. Sick of people on there high horses! ****y pms are not welcome either. byeee.

I'm not trying to be nasty at all!

if you cant get them maybe you could treat them yourself at your mums house? what you going to do then? leave them to get worse and watch them fitting in pain and covered in blood from self mutilation which will happen!

I'm really not been nasty i just feel for these poor guineas and you are the only one that can help!

you say you have other issues with your mum, so why not just call the RSPCA and let them deal with it? at least you have done everything then.

whats your problem? clearly you have not read the whole thread. i DID treat them at hers and as a result one of mine got fungal. i tried to help them and mother wont let me. my pigs come first.

I'm fully aware of the state they can get into. ive kept pigs for 13 years! your guilt trips are not welcome , i feel guilty enough. id love to know what you think I'm supposed to do? i have no way of getting them. if i reported them to the rspca and if there not rehomed within a certain time they will be pts. then what? thats on my head not yours. if you have nothing constructive to say dont say anything at all....

sorry but you are the one been nasty not ME, the RSPCA will not pts if they can be treated i know in my rescue no animal is EVER pts IF they can be treated cost regard, i honestly dont think you have any choice but to report her to the RSPCA , then at least they will be spared any unnecessary long term suffering! which they will go through before dieing a slow horrid painful dealth with out any type of treatment.

this is what they will go through for starter ..this poor boar was left by his owner with out treatment or very min treatment, he fitted at least 20 times a day, and screamed in pain all the time couldnt bare to be touched, it took 3mths and £100 of treatment to get him well, but he is now happy and lives here with me and his new friend and the owner well she thinks he is dead that was the only way we could protect him from going back to her!

so i really dont think you have any choice but to contact the RSPCA.

and from my friend who runs a rescue in liverpool there isnt a massive problem with guinea pigs in that area unlike rabbits, so i really cant see them not getting a home, i know my friend at walsall RSPCA keeps them until they find a home and doesnt pts!

if you have 13 experiance with guineas then you will know xeno will do nothing for fungal

how am i being nasty? i do believe you were the one implying its all down to me which is not the case... Ive done several animal courses part of which was how the rspca pts if not rehomed...

yes i am aware xeno will do nothing for fungal. As is usually the case, as I'm sure you are aware, they are likely to get mites along with the fungal hence the use of xeno...

Thankyou for showing me pictures which i am already aware of how bad it can get...that was indeed very usefull...not.

there is no "if you have had guinea pigs for 13 years" that is a FACT.

now kindly do one.

MODS close my account please.

I came here for words of wisdom and to LEARN not to be judged and have it implied i am letting animal abuse continue. the attitudes of some peope on here sucks...

I have one more suggestion to make and that is to contact a local rescue and ask them to negotiate directly with your mum to give up the piggies into their care.

Here is one based in Liverpool.

I am also going to ask the mods to close this thread as I find some of your comments to an experienced Health and Illness forum member whose only concern is the welfare of your mother's piggies quite unacceptable.

i never implied that you were the one responsible, never.

i think your attitude is disgusting and its obvious you are the one on the guilt trip.

sorry but ( there is no point knocking if there's know one in)

you either take my advice or not I know i offered you solutions to your problem and you Retaliated by been nasty to me.

I do hope they do get the help they clearly so need, as it would be a shame for your mum be up on a animal cruelty charge and for these poor animals that I AM so very passionate about put through un-necessary suffering while a guinea pig lover of 13yrs experience sits back and watches, sorry but that IS how it is.
