Fungal skin infection

Hi, after having my guinea pigs for 3 days I took them to the vets who took a skin scraping. We are now pretty sure they have a fungal infection (ringworm) they have told me the medication is £140 each and both guinea pigs will need to have separate treatment.
I was just after a bit of advise on the cost of this as it seems extortionate to me.

I’m afraid I don’t know whether the cost is normal. I would also speak to the pet shop and ask that they cover the vet fees, setting as they sold you ill piggies. You’re well within your rights to ask for assistance from them.

If they are pet shop piggies, then you have rights as a customer to claim the cost of vet care from the shop
