someone said to me piggies usually only get fungal skin infections once. mine seem to have had it twice in a few months. what are your experiences of this? also my long haired, curly piggies have got it but none of my non rexoid carrying or short haired ones have, ever... do you think they are more prone to it?

I had heard certain types of guinea pigs are more prone to fungal infections. In the case of my two, the more excitable and easily stressed Aby got more fungus and it took longer to clear than my other one. The vet told me it was due to their temperament, rather than what type they are.

Fungal infections can come back. there is also quite a range of different fungal infections around. That information is wrong. As far as I can see, the breed doesn't make that much of difference.
