I tried Jarvis with some corn on the cob yesterday as a treat, he loved the husks, but wasn't interested in the corn when left in his cage - unless I picked off individual bits and fed them to him! He'll take pretty much anything offered to him by hand, but if the same thing is in his bowl he'll show no interest til he's desperate later on or I refuse to give it him by hand!

Do any of your pigs have strange eating habits?

Hehe spoiled little piggy!

I have one piggy who doesn't want anything out of the bowl and insists it tastes better stolen from the mouths of the other ladies :)

Hehe boys are fussy... my piggy only takes coriander from my hand and when I give him grass in his bowl he wants me to show him where it is!

My two have no problems with food. They eat anything and everything. Greedy piggies. Lol

My two drive me mad at times. Buddy loves cucumber, Diesel won't touch it. The first time I tried them with Dill they went bananas for it, the second time they turned their cute Piggie noses up at it. The list goes on and on. Spoiled pigs!

@Flutterby Leo's late cage mate used to do the same thing! He always preferred what Leo had, even if the exact same thing was in his bowl/being offered to him!

They do have some really funny habits! I quite often have to show Jarvis where something is but he's certainly greedy as well.

@jenny57 Leo and Jarvis are like that, maybe its because Jarvis is a lot younger but Leo is very set on his ways about what he likes and some things Jarvis likes he won't go anywhere near!

Jarvis seems to have a liking for things he shouldn't eat! He was left on a cushion on the sofa while I went to grab a cup of tea; I left a tunnock's teacake on the opposite arm of the sofa, and when I get back he's run across the sofa, jumped on the arm and had marshmallow all round his mouth - the little fiend! Was only gone for a minute max! Needless to say I've learnt never to leave him alone near food again!

Managed to snap a picture of Mr marshmallow chops before cleaning him up!

Haha!
Lola is more than happy to eat more than her fair share, she'll finish her food, then take the portion from Lily. Luckily I'm there to take the carrot from Lola and give it to it's rightful owner!
Although Lily has tried to pull a fast one from Lola before, with her cucumber. Lola wasn't having any of that business.
