Has anyone ever seen this before? She only does this when she eats her poops.

It started a couple days ago.

Also, yes, her eye looks icky. When the vet saw it on Friday it was sunken and he said it looked like she had lost some of the fat behind her eye. This left the inside of her eyelid exposed and it has since been scratched. I've noticed her scratching at it more and I don't know what to do to stop it. I asked the vet what to do if it did get scratched and he just told me to put ointment on it which I have been doing.

Any suggestions/thoughts?

Oh dear her eye does look very sore :(
As for the head movement mmmmmmmm i'm not sure :{ it's not quite like what my girls do....sorry, maybe for peace of mind i'd see your vets :)

From loooking at the piccies I would suggest you get her checked by a cavy savvy vet for ear mites...VERY THOROUGHLY.....

They can cause damage to the eye via piggie scratching....can cause problems with head movement......and could also explain her coat condition (unless she has just had a bath)

Ivermectin INJECTIONS (3 doses 7-10 days apart) plus an ear drop to dissolve wax is the best way forwards ...spot-on etc would not work in this situation

Yeah I am certainly going to mention this to the vet when I give him a call. She was just in to see him twice last week because of a URI and then not eating so he is expecting a call from me.

The reason her coat looks a little yucky is because the salve usually ends up everywhere except her eye:{

When you see the vet make sure they do a thorough exam of the mouth - the abnormal head movement is an indication that there is discomfort, the tongue getting trapped by overgrown teeth can cause the pig to move like this, as well as ulceration in the mouth. Ear mites as Pebble has already suggested would be my next thought.

Our partially deaf piggie makes those 'exagerrated head movements too have her checked for vision and hearing...
