On one of Mikaylee's ears it looks dry and is whitish. Then on the bald spots behind her ears have brown marks, I thought that they have always been there. But now I think she has some in her ears. Are these mites? She had a shot before when I took her to the vet a month or two ago. I have an apoointment for her on Sat for the vet again. Is this something that needs to be taken care of like tomorrow or is she ok to wait a few days? We all ready lost 2 pups and a female, Maya, in Jan. I dpn't want to lose anymore. Isn;t it funny how you get attached to these little guys? (or girls I should say on my case)

As far as the bald spots behind the ears, the brown marks are usually their 'own skin markings' :) don't worry first time i saw them i thought there was something awfully wrong as well :)
I'd be proactive and take her to the vets and get her checked out she could have mites :-\ Sorry i'm not much help i've not experienced mites either :-\ :-\
I'm sure once Mary and the rest of our knowledgeable people wake up they'll let you know O0
I'm sorry you've had such a terrible time loosing your mini's and another girlie in January :'( :'( :'( :'(
Yes you do get attached to them, they're the cutest little ones and are so endearing :smitten: :smitten: :smitten: :smitten: :smitten: :smitten: :smitten: :smitten:

the dry and whitish stuff on the ears could be a fungal infection or dry skin or mites etc. can you see any moving white lice on her?
Or any bump/scabs on her? Has she been scratching/flinching at all?
If it is just the white stuff it sounds like fungal i think :-\ Have a look at this, it may help you decide if you think it's parasitic or fungal O0 http://www.gorgeousguineas.com/indentification.html but it think seeing a vet is definitely a good idea because if it is mites your piggie will need a course of ivermectin which is the only thing that will actually cure mites O0 You could e-mail chrissie from Gorgeous guineas and tell her what your piggie's like and symptoms etc. and she will say if she thinks a complementry course of GG stuff will help too O0 her e-mail's [email protected]
she's always very helpful ;) as for the patch behind the ear that sounds like it's just the normal skin as Glynis said ;)
good luck and let us know how you get on :)

Liza, the mother, had a small bald patch and thought that Mikaylee bit her, but now there is another bald patch next to the first one. Can they all have mites?
