We have had our newbies about 4 days so far and I've noticed that Willow makes a funny noise quite alot, it sounds like someone popping bubbles and is sometimes accompanied by what looks like hiccups. I'm worried it might be a URI so I'm gonna book her into the vets tomorrow.
Anyone else ever seen this in a pig? Xx

As your girls are new additions to the family is a very good idea to get them checked over by a vet anyway.

My initial thoughts are bloat, they are such tiny babies and it is easy to over do the veggies/grass if they are not used to them. The 'hiccuping' is an odd one though, possibly a reaction to the discomfort. Usually hiccuping is due to something stuck in the back of the mouth or throat, often followed by a small cough and return to normal behaviour.

Good luck at the vets, let us know how it goes.

Hey, thanks for the bit of advice.
After our little trip to the vets he confirmed that it was an URI just as I had thought, the bubble popping noise was joined by heavy breathing, weightloss and a temperature which deffinatley warranted the vets. He gave her a shot of baytril and some baytril to give her at home for five days.
Fingers crossed for her getting better xx
