Fur Found In Cage

Hi all,

This morning I found some fur in the cage but no obvious signs of hair loss. We had quick check over them but couldn't see any patches. I uploaded a picture to imgur.


Is this normal? Please help!
 
I agree it looks like an old scab that has fallen off.
This could be due to mites or fungal, so I would recommend a vet visit for a skin check for the piggy in question.
 
Thanks both for the replies. We’ve only had them two days and they had a full check before we brought them home which is the strange thing?

I’ll try and get them another check up.
 
Update:

Taken them both to the vets for a checkup and they are both perfectly healthy. The fur is a bit of a mystery but we are assuming it must have came in the hay or something as it's definitely not from the guinea pigs!
