Hi, Would like some advice please!

I have 7 piggies and one of my groups is a castrated male and he lives with 2 baby girls (10 weeks). Yesterday I noticed that the boy has some fur lose, not sure if its the other piggies grooming him (barbing is that what its called?)

Or if its mites, now when I did a rescue I had some ivermec in and I used to treat rescues with this as they came in. I remember getting this over the internet from a guinea pig breeder that had a web site. Any one know where I can get this from that is cheap and the right amount to give and how often to treat my piggies... Thanks

i'm not sure, but if it is mites you'll want to treat all your piggies within a touch distance of him, just to be on the safe side

Hi

Shampoo will only kill lice not mites.

For mites I use Ivermectin Drops 0.8% (Pink bottle for adult piggies and Yellow bottle for babies) :
http://www.pharmaq.co.uk/shop/?gclid=CN2f0IScmJoCFRC7Zwoduxhn-Q#962X0

There is an instruction leaflet enclosed, advising how many drops to apply according to your piggies weight.

It's about £24, but lasts ages and I got it the next day after ordering.
