Hi all, I am seeking for some advise. I gave my piggie a tomato and now Toby has a bit of a lump under his chin right under his mouth. I think sweet juices from tomatoes dried out and caused the fur to get stuck together in a lump. I have tried to clean him with warm water and wipe and it's not coming off and it's impossible to get him to sit still. Any advise please? Ps. He was never bathed before so am afraid he will freak out if I try that.

Can u soak it a bit longer with some warm water if its hair stuck together. Make it wet &gently brush a comb/soft brush through it to separate the hairs teasing it gently. Then dry his chin thoroughly.

Tomatoes are quite acidic so he may have had a reaction to the juice. If the lump is actually on the skin.
Again I think I would bathe &dry it.
&keep an eye on it for changes or it getting worse.
But speak to a vet if it is more skin opposed to hair issues. Xx

.perhaps you could swab the aria with warm olive oil ,
