Dear fellow forum piggies,
Kylie was furious with our slave this evening. During evening veggy time Kylie declined to take any bell pepper. Our slave wasn't prepared to accept this - Kylie isn't eating enough veggies at the moment.
So she took Kylie out of the cage and put the bell pepper into her mouth. Kylie didn't have much choice but to take a bite. She didn't swallow everything but most of the first bite. Then she furiously attacked the bell pepper again. And ate most of it.
How could our slave do this to her?

Afterwards Kylie graciously ate a bit of parsley and some lettuce.

How very dare your Slave force feed you stuff you don't want! That is disgraceful Slave behaviour! How would she like it if she was force fed? She wouldn't! So why does she think you like it? I certainly wouldn't be putting up the that! Whilst the GPU doesn't condone nipping, sometimes it is necessary. As head of GPFANS I hope you gave her a few well earned nips. I'm pleased that your friend Vicky decided to report it.

I have sent you a wheekmail on what to do if this should ever happen again. Your Slave has been warned.......

Today was even worse. I was put into piggy prison and MS waited for me to pee.

Geoff has been telling me that if I set up a fan club for you I’ll get into trouble with Miss Bramble at TGU
He was very adamant about it …so I think as I’m a very good boy I won’t be setting up a fan club for you …maybe Kongo could do it ?
I still think you’re the loveliest pig but we’re just friends right ?
Another girl has caught my eye …..

Dear Freddy, my mini hippo friend,
I'm really disappointed that you won't start a fan club for me. Why would Miss Bramble be against such a glorious idea?
Yes, we are only friends and I'm happy that you have found love with another lady. Though she can't be as charming and lovely as I am.

We had some news from the vet this week.

Pino is off the antibiotic. He is still positive for streptococci but just a kind that's nearly everywhere and not likely to cause any symptoms. The others were not detected in the sample any more. :D
I just hope that the symptoms won't return too quickly because a relapse is possible.

Kylie also still had some bacteria in the urine last Wednesday and we were booked to do another check-up tomorrow.
But the snow will hit us hard during the night and tomorrow, with 20 cm expected for Vienna.
So today I asked the vet for another appointment. I would have loved to have the check-up but the last time we drove to see him in a snow storm was bad enough and this time will probably be much worse.

So I'll stop the antibiotic after 3 weeks (tomorrow) and will try to keep her comfortable for the next two weeks with metacam and novalgin. The metacam should also help because it's anti-inflammatory.
In two weeks - that was the first possible appointment - she will have an ultrasound and hopefully know more.
Unfortunately she is still loosing weight and still doesn't like to eat much. But I hope that her appetite will improve a bit once she is off the antibiotic.

Oh Pino!
Yesterday evening I noticed that Pino wa eating funnily (more than usual) and having trouble eating his piece of pepper. He also struggled with lettuce.
So I checked his teeth and he has managed to break off both upper incisors. 🙈

And his timing is perfect again ... I'm on a business trip at the moment, coming back tomorrow evening.
Big sigh!

Dear Freddy, my mini hippo friend,
it's lovely to hear from you.
I'm better since I don't have to take the yucky antibiotic any more but my next vet appointment is on Friday.
