Love from Kongos mama (thank you for being his girlfriend. He has a new thing: he flips his house over all the time and then he stands station at me until I turn it right. Then he flips it again.)

Quick update:
Kylie is doing good so far. The stiches will come out tomorrow. She is constantly working on the band-aid to protect them.

Pino is also doing good. Three weeks of antibiotics behind him, two more weeks to go.
But my little hero broke both of his top incisors again last week.
Don't know how he does it

So apart from giving out the right meds to the right piggy twice a day (because at the moment everypig gets something different) and spot cleaning and poop-pickung twice daily, I have to cut his veggies into stripes again.

Sometimes I wonder what I have done to be in the middle of this streak of bad luck.

But yeah, after a bunch of toofie-gremlings I wonder the same. What have I ever done to be an expert syringefeeder? How many hours and days of my life have I syringefeed a guinea pig? What on earth have I done to see them suffer? How did all these toofie-gremlings come to me, is it becuse I'm a hooman toofie-gremling?

He thinks that going to the arcade sounds like fun. And he would appreciate time away from his ladies and some time alone with 'dad'.
Though he is pretty sure that his dad had a different hairdo than Kongo.

Unfortunately, not all the stiches came out. My usual vet is on holiday and this vet doesn't have much experience with guinea pigs.
We have to go back next week. This time we will see our usual vet again.

So until then we still have to fight with band-aid (at least for the next couple of days) and stay on fleece. And I'll continue with the antibiotics and the pain meds as well.

After today's experience, I think that I'm just as good as this vet when it comes to putting band-aid on Kylie.
He told me twice that it's much easier to put it on a guinea pig that's sedated.
I'm sure it is but what does he think I've been doing these last few days?

No, that wasn't necessary. Kylie was a very good girl.
And I wouldn't trust him to know how to sedate a guinea pig in a safe way anyway.
There are two vets at the practice. She is very good with guinea pigs, he ... not at all.

Good news for a change.
Pino's teeth have grown back and he can eat on his own again. I think he is a little disappointed that the serving of veggy stripes has stopped.

And it looks as if Kylie doesn't need band-aid on her tum any more.
At the moment, it's looking good. I'm just a bit worried how the visit to the vet and the removal of the last stiches will go. Tuesday will be quite a while since the operation.
