Fussy eater

Hi all
Crumble,one of my female pigs will only eat lettuce,a bit of carrot and some corn. She seems healthy in herself but I am worried that she needs more variation in her diet as my other pigs all eat a variety of vegetables?

Hey there.

Have you tried leave the other veg she won't eat in the enclosure and seeing what happens after a day or two when the others are eating the variety of veg? A bit like getting a child to eat their dinner so they can have their pudding....

So the only problem is that she is very submissive and drops food if coco or caramel wants it. She has a separate bowl that I put at the other side of the cage. I was considering separating the c and c with a grid at feeding times?

You could try hand feeding them at dinner times at bars if she is cool with that, we did this when we had a newbie to make sure she got her fair share... Or usher one down one end the other one the other and put piles of food in front of each
