Fussy Peppers

Piggies are very fussy when it comes to their veggies, but the boys are just plain stubborn when it comes to peppers. They will only eat the green ones (which can be a pain when they come in packs of 3 colours). I've tried to sneak them little red peppers but I always find them hidden in their cage.
Do your pigs have a pepper preference?

Some of mine do, which is v annoying because I only like the red/yellow ones and like to keep the green ones for the piggies!

Ours prefer the red ones, although they will eat any colour. I think green is the least favourite. What that means is that the husband and I are rarely allowed any red peppers, and have to eat up all the green ones (the guinea pigs' rejects!) instead!

Mine prefer the tiny mini peppers. I try to buy them now.

Mine eat any peppers at all, think it's because all they used to get were carrots in their old home.

These piggies have us hoomans well trained. We have to eat their rejects. Lol.

Mine will eat green yellow and red but green is their least fave so when the OH was making a chilli recently I confiscated the red pepper n made him use green!

My piggies like all the peppers but they love the green ones, i think its because they are the best for them, they have the most vitemin c

However when I hand feed, they are VERY picky.

When I have a bowl of many different veggies, I have too make sure I vary the order I feed them in.. Because the pigs will not take a piece of veg if they had the same thing before the current piece!

If I offer the same kind of veg twice in a row, they will take one sniff and walk away!

mine are wierd and will only eat peppers while getting scritches, and only the right sort

My ladies and their soon to be husboar eat absolutely anything and everything put infront of them All coloured peppers included

My girls will eat one colour pepper one day, but wont eat it again for a few days. Found Morrisons do a small bag of ready sliced mixed coloured peppers for 49p so I can give them red one day and green the next, then yellow. Have to use them quick as they are ready sliced but it gives them some variety.

LOL total opposite! My piggies will eat anything and it doesn't matter about the colour!
Although today they favoured carrot over lettuce, picked all the carrot out before tucking into the lettuce

Mine don't have a favourite colour pepper, they generally eat anything I give them lol - I think mint is the only thing they've turned their noses up at!

Mine won't eat any peppers at all. It's all because of Hazelnut who is just picky about everything. Peanut Butter is an "I'll try anything" sort of boy, but the minute he notices Hazelnut turning his nose up at something, PB follows suit. All the books say the picky piggy is supposed to be jealous of what the other has and copy them. I've tried reading that to the boys, but they just aren't taking it on..
