Fussy pig won't eat

Hi,

I need a bit of advice about one of my rescue pigs, Caramel.

She's only been here about 5 days but she's not eating any dried food at all. She was previously fed on a muesli mix, so I mixed up some Wagg and Excel but she won't touch it.

She's not eating much veg either or hay. The only veg she'll eat is carrot, she left the spring greens, broccolli, kale and various herbs.

I've been giving her loads of the farm hay I buy for the others but she's not eating it and she wouldn't even try the ready grass.

Has anyone else got such a fussy pig? How did you get them over it? She can't live on just carrots but it sure looks like she's gonna try lol

She is going to the vets at point this week, just for a check over and I'll ask the vet but he might not be too helpful about feeding problems

I would try little bits of other veg like cucumber, celery, leafy greens, mine love peppers. She may just be a little nervous.

I would put some foods in her igloo maybe some dried and veggies and see if she can be coaxed that way but some hay in too, she may not like coming out too much if she is nervous.

I'm sure you are doing but keep an eye on her weight too.

well my max was fussy and well still is

when he was a baby he would only eat carrots and a bit of leafy stuff but he did eat his hay and dry food, now he eats loads of diffrent viggies but say if i give him carrot today he will eat it but if i give it him next week he may not eat it. He likes things one week but the next week he wont eat it , his wight is ok tho , he just gets the same has evey boy eles(he lives on his own dosent like like his 5 sons) and if wont eat what he gets he hids it

I'm having probs getting merlin to eat dried food too. in the shop he was fed guinea excel museli, but i feed my pigs wagg. i cant get hold of excel here and if i do its really expensive. costs double the price of wagg :-\

oh my max is k with dry food its his veg

he has eating 3 diffrent kinds of dryed food in his 1 year of live he has had the stuff what he was o nwhen i got him from the pet shop he has been on gerty and now on pets at home and now gone back to gerty ad he likes any kind of pallets
