Junior Guinea Pig
Has most of you are aware I have lost 2 guinea pigs and not replaced them. I usually do but the truth is I have had enough. I feel its a continuous worry with having so many and really do respect the people who have more than me again. I have told Anthony I do not want anymore for a while his response was you finally get it. I feel I cant trust any vet around here with my guinea pigs. My local vet is fabulous with my other animals but said himself hes not confident with guinea pigs cos they are so complex. But I feel if we work together I can teach him and he can me. So my aim with guinea pigs is once I have lost them one by one and the numbers go right down. I will just have 4 bonded girls living in one cage (thats gonna be Suzys job). Some say male guinea pigs have more of a personality and bond with their owners. But I have had girls before and especially my lovely Lucy whom I had such a great bond with and it broke me when she went. Its gonna be a long way off I hope yet but I would like to have 4 girls possibly of the same litter and babys. I think the advantages of this would be that when one dies the other is not left on their own.
What are the difference before girls and boys are there any known ones? what would be the disadvantages of having 4 girls together?
