Hi

I've got two boar piggies and two rabbits (living separately). I've come across Galens Garden and it looks fantastic, but I'm a bit bewildered. Which are the best herbs and forage for guinea pigs and which are good for rabbits with sensitive digestions? Also, as its not practical for me to feed fresh kale to my piggies, would it be ok to feed a pinch of dried kale once a week? They get a balanced diet otherwise.

I feed my kale to my pigs, and hay is pretty much dried grass so I'm pretty sure it would be fine to give them dried kale. My pigs also enjoy parsley, as well as dandelion greens and spinach. Actually I don't know if the last two are herbs, but my pigs definitely like them. I hope this may be of help.

Mine love kale so I can't see it harming then to feed dried as long as its in moderation. Parlsey, dandelion, raspberry, blackberry, strawberry leaves are all fine to feed too :)

My boys go mental for parsley. They are just warming up to coriander and mint. They won't touch the Rosemary but are cool with basil. Enjoy!

Be sure to consider the amount of calcium you are providing. Lots of the foods mentioned here are quite calcium rich and could cause stones in some piggies..
