Garden Shed Heaters?

No, I have an electric oil filled radiator, which is fine. Bought from Tesco. No flames, and my shed has all health and safety approved electrics for livestock keeping. (That is written is such bad English, sorry) I think the thing is to have no elements that hay, shavings can get to through a grill etc. That looks ok, but would it give out enough heat?

Mmmerrr....I dunno what to do. I have a power outlet in my shed for the pond filter and pump, plus I have a light in the shed for when its dark and I go in there to feed and whatever. Do you reckon getting a lil oil radiator would be alright?

I have a small oil filled radiator in my shed and it's got a thermostat, so it just keeps it above freezing. I never had one previously but this winter has been the coldest since having the piggies and one day their water was frozen, so I couldn't bear it any longer. I leave it on low at night and it just keeps the chill off. I researched it beforehand and I think it's the safest option. Mind you, the weather seems to be getting milder... do you think you need one now the worst is hopefully over?

LOL well no I don't. But I'm thinking ahead for next winter. Since it looks like our winters could be getting colder and colder each year now.

I'll see what I can find online...one with a thermostat would be awesome, where did you get yours from sophie?

It was one we had for ages and didn't use... so I'm not sure where it came from originally. Argos do them, I think. They're not the cheapest but they are quite efficient (and I appreciate it too when I'm out feeding and cleaning!)

Mine cost about £35.oo and it clicks on and off, has inbuilt thermostat. It has not let the temp go below 8 degrees even in the worst weather we have had. xx
