I am thinking of getting one of those plastic storage units from argos to keep my supplys in has anyone got one , if not what do you use other than a shed which i cant afford at the minute x

Do you mean those large plastic things, that are kind of like a chest freezer, but green or grey ? they have a lifting lid and some of them can be opened at the front also. I don't have one, but a friend of mine has used one for a couple of years and found it very good for guinea prodcut storage.

I was thinking of getting one of those too - at the moment I have everything kept in a seagrass blanket box in my spare room. Would they keep the hay etc from getting damp outside though?

I think they are meant to store like garden cushions and stuff in so should be waterproof - Tesco had them in their big catalogue too for about £60.

Someone I know uses an old chest freezer (not plugged in!) which is rat proof and does the job!

I use 2 black bins, the old black ones we had before the ''wheelie bin''!But thats outside! O0

The plastic storage boxes are good and they are on offer at Lidls at the moment, but be careful if using them during the summer as they tend to sweat. If you're keeping food or hay in them that's isn't used up quickly there's a possibility that it will go damp or mouldy.

I store hay in a single quilt cover in one of my unused hutches. I don't think it'd sweat if the box wasn't in direct sunlight :)
