I have dug out an 8 foot by 3 foot garden in my backyard for some veggies for the pigs. I am for sure going to grow bell peppers and cucumber. What other veggies have you gys been successful in growing? I won't plant the seeds outdoors until mid may but I want to plan out what I am going to grow. I also have a section of planters for some herbs. What herbs do you grow for your piggies? Also, I have read on the internet that piggy poop is a good natural fertilizer and I have been putting it in the soil. Has anyone ever done this before and seen an improvement in crops? This is my first ever piggy garden and I am super excited!XD

I haven't done anything like this, but what an awesome idea! Would love to know how you get on! :yahoo:

have never tried it before but sounds like a great idea! :) i know for definite that piggys love parsley so thats one more thing you can grow! good luck

There was someone on here that used gp poo fertiliser and it worked fine, any kind of manure will be beneficial.

You'll need to grow peppers and cucumbers under cover (mini greenhouse will do).

You could grow salad veg such as cut and come again lettuce, rocket, lambs lettuce, land cress, endive, celery etc.

Cabbage, broccoli, calabrese, kale and cauliflower are all options but you haven't a lot of space so you'd have to be selective!

Carrots and parsnips may be a possibility depending on your soil, beets and radishes are other root veg possibilities.

Coriander, parsley, basil, dill, mint, chervil and thyme are all good herbs to grow. :)
