I'm just sooooo proud! As many of you will know, Garry is my most shy piggy...he rarely comes out of hiding if he knows someone is in the room. Anyhow, he came out for cuddles today and as we were laying there (I was feet up on the sofa, watching TV at the time!), he decided he'd chill out and lay down...he's making progress!xoxo Excuse my cleavage in some of the pics...that's just where he likes to lie!"):))rolleyes

Great news! It is just so satisfying when a timid piggy over a matter of time, sometimes weeks but sometimes months, eventually learns to trust you.

It's only taken 18 months to get this far! rolleyes He's still terrified when he's in his cage (although I think I would be if I lived with Minty!:))) but I have noticed that he will venture out for food after I've cleaned them out and I'm still standing there. However, if I move, he shoots back into the pigloo!

I'm loving the laying down thing though...feels like a proper cuddle now!xoxox)

Well done them, it has taken some patience to get there. Well done for taking the time to get there.

He is a lovely boy, but then all black piggies are gorgeous lol
 
Poor guy - he really IS shy! No wonder you want to celebrate this first sign of trust! Just the fact the he finally dares to relax around you now is not to be underestimated! Hpefully, now that you've made that important breakthrough, more will follow more quickly!

And Dippy always reminds me of Garry!:))

I've just cleaned them out. He's a weird boy...he'll run away if he's got somewhere to go (the pigloo was air drying!) but if you put something in front of him (phone for photos for example) he'll have a stretch of his nose and carefully sniff it to see what it is! So, a shy but nosy boy...!

That's exactly what he would have done lol, if he had somewhere to hide he would run for it, but if tried to take a pic with the camera and hold it in front of his face, he would stretch and sniff it, could have been something to eat :)). R.I.P. Dippy
