Gas Or Bloat Again

She hasn't. They said there aren't any appointments as its Sunday and they said going by what's been said, it should be ok to leave her for tomorrow and she'll go then.

If your dad is going shopping, can you get some gripe water for babies with cramps? this can help to disperse any gas bubbles. You can give about 0.2 -0.3 ml every three hours max. if necessary.

Also massage/vibrate regularly. An electric toothbrush can help, if you can find a cheap one.

Take her off any fresh food and if necessary switch to syringe feeding.

A guinea pig that has had bloat is often likely to have recurring problems. When you see your vets tomorrow, please discuss this with them and ask them whether they'd let you have a "small bridging portion" at home to cover the time until you can see a vet.

Thank you. I massaged her with an electric toothbrush for a while yesterday but I'll do it again today. I haven't given her any fresh food since realising her problem and gave her only hay and water. She's drinking ok now so I don't think I'll need to syringe her :)

Sorry, what do you mean "small bridging portion"?

Thank you. I'm too far away from the vets to go get that now though. They think it's gas anyway, so they might be hesitiant to give it to me.

Also, should I let Minja have her own cage again tonight? I had to yesterday as I needed to keep a good eye on her without Ginny rumbling in the way and other things. It's only a 1x4 though?

If Minja is OK in herself, then I would leave your two girls together as much as possible. You have to make that decision very much on a case by case basis depending on how well she is. Most piggies are generally happier/less stressed with their friend around unless they are in major discomfort and would remove themselves from the group.

Now in the car taking Minja home from vets. After mum's friend let us borrow a carrier for what seems the hundredth time, we went to Taverham vets at around nine. They had a look at her and she was fine. Said to limit veg and keep pellets at a lower quantity.

Now stuck in very confusing traffic thanks to roadworks and satnav not realizing this. Mum frantically stressing out and asking literally anyone for help :help:
