Hi all again.

Just checking something. What sort of food do you/can you give to your pigs. At the moment we give the pellet food and then a cup of fruit and veg once a day that contains sliced apple and carrot. When I was younger and I had pigs we also gave them cucumber, toast I think (although that may have been the rabbit) and little tomatoes.

Is this all OK - what can't they be fed?

Thanks

That all seems fine to me apart from the toast bit. I don't think that guinea pigs should be fed bread as it is difficult for them to digest. If you go to the top of the food section, there is a thread called 'the guinea pig shopping list'. This tells you all the foods that guinea pigs can and can not eat x

Thanks. I've just seen and had a quick look through it. Didn't realise they could eat so much.

With the pea pods, do they need it to be open or can they eat the whole thing?

They can eat the whole pod... Mine love them (and runner beans)... If you follow the feeding list you cant go wrong...:)
