Poor george! I got he and tiger out in their playpen today and I ripped his new cardboard box house. He has only had it a few days as normally he has a proper house but I gave him it for a bit of a cheap but exciting change! He is now sat in the playpen devastated as it's just a heap on the floor!

I gave him a new rainbow bridge thingy to hide in but he is still sulking rolleyes

Think I might have to go out tomorrow & buy something in a box so he can be happy again!

I never realised he was so sensitive! Has anyone else had a piggie so upset about a box?

Tallulah was exactly the same when i took hers away cos it was wee and pooh soaked!

Whenever I go shopping I always bring back 3 or 4 empty boxes, so I have a stock in to avoid sulky piggies. ! xx

Glad it is just not me! Spend a fortune on nice houses and they sulk when you take away a rubbish cardboard box :))

I've never had sulking pigs over boxes - but they do seem to be capable of sulking over just about anything else related to them! :)):))

Let's see, we've had sulking over no cucumber (usually when I whistle to the little boy I childmind!), when i go away (fortunately it's only for 6 days once a year), when food of any kind is late, when I'm too tired to do their cage, when the wind is in the wrong direction, when they wake up on the wrong side of the cage/hay etc etc mallethead?/:x

Still you gotta love them & their little personalities (except when I introduced 2 piggies - mine & a friend's - & lovely Legolas decided he didn't want to be friends & bit me between my finger & thumb. For a millisecond I really didn't like him!) grrrrx)

he he i sure did! but he still has a straw tunnel and a rainbow cave/bridge thingy to chew on and toys :))

not sure that is what it is called! (i know what it means on this site but think I have the name in my head). I think it is a rainbow tunnel or something. It is like playstix but instead of rough wood is rainbow coloured (with pet friendly dye) and all the pieces are same shape and size.

Exactly like that... I have one of each in the hutch for my girls, and while they prefer running over top of the rainbow one (possible because I put a hay ball hanging where they need to be on top of the bridge to reach it?), for chewing they seem to prefer the natural one.

George has now started eating his rainbow one now! He is on a eat everything in his cage which isn't plastic diet at the minute and I'm a bit worried :(

my ruben gets up set when he cant sit in his house or i tae him out of it for cuddles - he has to share it with his 3 borthers

Riff is obsessed with cardboard boxes. Usually shoe boxes. We had to keep one really filthy one going for months because Riff was so attached to it and refused to go in the new clean one. In the end it had to go, it was too disgusting.

That sounds like george! he's happiest when sitting in a soggy wee soaked sleeping bag. I give him a newly washed one and he likes to sit in top of it and wee loads so it is soggy within the hour! Then he climbs inside and is all impressed with himself! :))
