Georgy attacked Patch and Titch!

Today while building the new hutch for georgy and fluffly and the new girls, i heard georgy's teeth chatter, i looked in and checked the sex of the newcomers with biscuit's sex, and they are females. i closed the door, thinking the louds noises of building must of been scaring georgy. he was singling off him and fluffly from the babies, but i thought he was just doing like normal, protecting his lady! then i heard of huge high picthed wheek coming from the little ones. at that time i was holding a part of the hutch and waiting about a minute, and then another squeek, i looked in to see blood spattlered over Tiny's face, and Titch's ear bleeding. i was shocked. i swapped round piggies, smidge and biscuit got the baby girls, and georgy and fluffly got fluffly's friends patch and fudge, i was keeping an eye on the babies, georgy was never like this before, so i thought it might be the babies. Smidge sent marked them, by roviness and then welcomed them into the group. so it had to be something that come over georgy, suddenly i heard dashes around the hutch, i thought just playing, but then i heard a wheek off patch and looked in to find fudge and fluffly in the bedding and patch over the far side of the hutch with a bleeding ear. what had poor patch done!? i moved georgy back into the 3ft on his own. smidge & biscuit & the babies titch & tiny are iin the new hutch, and fluffly, fudge and patch are in the bigger hutch they live in.
What is wrong with georgy? dad said if he keeps biting we'll have to rehome him :'(
 
Its a new member to his group not all piggies get on regardless of sex, poor babies, he might be trying to show his dominance because they are new to him it might be a good idea to indroduce them slowly in some neuteral place and somewhere you can keep an eye on whats going on. Georgy just needs to get used to his new group give him time i hope you do keep him :)
 
we bonded them last night, and they were fine, it was out of nowhere
 
Apparently they didn't bond! Though they may have been fine last night, it will probably still take time for them to get used to each other. Just one question, if he gets along with Fluffy so well why didn't you keep them together?

he didnt, fluffly used to bite him and kick him out the bedding area, being the only girl, fluffly got all the 'attention'. i still cant believe georgy bit them :'(
 
I've found not all boars like sows & vice versa. There would've been blood-shed last night between Howie & Esme had i not intervened & taken Esme out for "time-out"
 
i have took your ideas and deciding to bond georgy back in a course of time, like spending an amount of time with patch fudge and fluffly in the day, as for the babies just went in to check on them now, and Tiny was sleeping by the stairs (dont ask me why) nawing on abit of wood and titch was asleep with biscuit and smidge. patch's ear has stopped bleeding and all of them were asleep. Georgy was woken up by me disturbing him. he probably wont get too sleep for a while, and keep everyone else awake x8) so things have really settled down a little bit espcially for the little ones. biscuit is a very soft guinea pig and smidge is sweet but strict, so really, think they'll be happier there.
 
Wait a minute.. if Fluffy is the one that used to bite and kick Georgy out and was used to the attention.. and Georgy was fine with them last night.. and you didn't see it.. how do you know it wasn't Fluffy who bit them? If she was jealous or felt her position as 'head girl' was threatened by the new girls that could very well be what happened.

I have every respect for you and think you are a caring Piggie Mummy but why on earth are you causing problems for them when not long ago you were going to rehome?

i ask that because not long ago I thought I was going to have to get rid of my babies. Luckily things turned around for me and I'm ok (for now) I want to take every little lost soul but I can't offer a forever home at the moment.

Please think about what is going to happen to them if you have to move.

I don't see why you just didn't leave Fluffly and Georgy on their own. I know you love piggies and want the best for them, but I think that may've been the best. Then two on their own. He's been on and off with Fluffly for so long, I don't think he likes anyone else :)
 
i took your advice kelly, and did so, fluflfy is not too impressed, but them to bullies deserve it! patch, fudge, titch, tiny, biscuit and smidge are in the new 2 storey hutch
i got my dad to keep an eye on them all. but no blood shed. georgy and fluffly are in the bigger hutch, so they can have some space from each other, i will slowly try and introduce patch and fudge back, though the little ones titch and tiny, have really bonded to her.
 
Like I said, are you sure that it wasn't Fluffy? If she was nasty before and you didn't see it that may have been what happened. If she's not happy and Georgy gets along with the other two that may be a good idea as well.
