Hi all,
I am not a fan of Gerty guinea food and my piggies have always been fed Burgess Supa guinea excel, however the babies were being fed it in the pet shop so I grabbed a small bag so I could change them over slowly without getting tummy upsets, but the babies have other ideas. They keep picking out all the Supa Guinea and only eat the Gerty >:( should I persevere with the mix or just let them eat the Gerty until they get a bit bigger/fatter? I'm worried they will get addicted to all the colourings ;D
Thanks
Sarah

I would keep persisting with the Supa Guinea. A few years ago I used to feed my lot on Gerty, this was piglets and all until I realised how many artifical colourants it has in it.
My lot are currently eatting Chudleys Rabbit Royale, its suitable for guineas also as you make sure they have enough Vitamin C in their diet, its got herbs and a dried flower in it.

They will obviously pick out the coloured bits as thats the things thats mostly bad for them - like sweets compared to salad to normal kid ;D I would lessen the amount of gerty your giving them and add more of the supa stuff and then gradually add more untill the bowls full of good stuff :D see how they go and they should be eating it like any normal other piggy food O0
