Just wondered if anybody has ever used this food for their guinea pigs. ?/ I know people say that Gerty guinea pig original is bad because of the artificial colourants but this one says it doesn't contain any artificial colourants or sugars.

i've heard of it,but dont know what its like. maybe you could do a review thread nemo?

I have tried it and pigs like it but I am not sure if this has the same artificial colours as the original Gerty has. I used to feed my lot on Gerty about 7 years ago for a few years and never had any problems, but I changed to a few various feeds as Gerty was getting so expensive.
They are now on Wagg Optimum and love it, I also mix in Excel or P@H nuggets in.

Yes mine have always done alright on it and I bought the supa excel pellets - still got a full bag in the shed - but they wouldn't touch it.rolleyes
Gerty is very expensive at the moment although if it lasts a few weeks I suppose it's only like buying the tesco food for £3.19 a bag or whatever it is for 2kg.:) Our last bag from the pet shop was £27. :o Found it for £21 now at vet uk but decided to try the cranberry one instead which is cheaper at £18 :)

I've also ordered a small bag of Science selective guinea pig to see if they like this.

The food is soo cheap on the vet uk site compared to most places - got Science selective rabbit food for just over £4 for a 3kg bag which is nearly £7 in petshops I think.

Well they seem to be enjoying the new Gerty guinea pig food - especially the younger piggies, they have less in their bowl this morning than of the normal food so maybe I have found something they actually like.rolleyes
