I'm very excited to say I'll be picking up my newest piggy tomorrow! She's at our local humane society and she looks so sweet. Such beautiful markings! I'll update how introducing her to my two pigs goes and put up some pigtures! Also open to name suggestions! Some names I'm considering right now are Frog, Cricket, Finley, and keeping her shelter name

She's gorgeous. The names Verity and Ophelia popped into my head when I looked at her.

What a beauty 😍 Good on you for giving her a lovely new home, hope the bonding goes well 🤞

I got back a bit ago with the new pig! I think I’ll be naming her Cricket. So far in the introduction she seems fine with my older pig Tui but my younger pig Ushi is a bit nervous and scared of her. Only a little bit of a squabble so far, nothing very bad. I’ll throw in some pigtures and update on the introduction soon!

The new pig has now been laying in the same spot with one of her back legs stretched out (relaxed position, right?) for a while near some hay and Ushi seems to of calmed down. There was a bit of chinning in the beginning between Ushi and new piggy but thats stopped. Tui is very unbothered. Does someone with a little more experience bonding think they’ll be ok now? Ushi was eating hay next to new piggy earlier. I haven’t noticed any dominance displays for a while.

I’m pretty sure bonding was a success now! They were all popcorning in the bonding pen this morning and still seem happy squeaky and popcorny with eachother. The new pig is obviously used to being pet while in the cage as she lets me do it without her running at all, but she doesn’t like being picked up. I’ll go slow with her but hopefully she’ll eventually feel safer being handled . She was reaching up to the camera earlier and it was quite adorable haha
