no I haven't, she shows no signs though and is from a healthy line of satins O0
Oh right O0 I'm not gonna take mine to have an x ray until they show signs of anything just like my other piggies :smitten:
I'm gonna treat them just like my others and if they need a vet then theyll go to a vet O0

Gorgeous little girly.
I used to have an Ivory a while ago, I dont really do Pink Eyed Whites but if its Satin, I DO!

Here is she (2nd left). Left to Right - Harmony (Golden), Icicle (Ivory), Kassidy (Cream), Milka (Cream), Scrumptious (Buff) and Delightful (Cream Crested).
Sadly as many of the regular members will have read I lost a lot of pigs to Gastroentritis and only Scrumptious, Kassidy and Delightful survived it but only Delightful aka Miss D is with me today.

Its fine by me ;D ;D - they are gorg - sorry to hear about all the losses it must of been a huge shock :'(

They are all soooooo gorgeous. Love Harmony she looks so chunky :smitten:

Been reading this thread about problems Satins can have. No nothing about Satins. Read someone said about getting Xrays. What is it they can have wrong with them?

Not got Satins but was just wondering what they can have wrong with them. Bless them :(

Its called Osteodystrophy (OD) and it is a metabolic disease that affects the bones.
Ahuge number of satin cavies suffer from it and it can lead to death :-\

It sure is and it is genetic but i dont think carriers of the satin gene can get OD
but i can asure whatever piggie i get that are satins they will love their life no matter how long they have :smitten:

Satin Guinea Pigs has more info on it. Not all get it, the proportion is unknown. It does lead to death- but usually they will be put to sleep before they die of it to spare any pain.
