2 days ago my daughter was taken into hospital with a nasty virus and as a result the piggies didn't get their dinner until 1am (fed by my husband so goodness knows what they got!) and the next day he was in a rush so they totally missed breakfast veggies. So as a result they were frantic for a feed last night when I got home.

So today I have done my shopping and been to the Dr with her again - so they didn't get their breakfast until now.

To make it up to them they have had a feast of:

lettuce, spinach, coriander, mint, celery, apple, banana, carrot, peppers, parsley

You should hear the munching from the 10 of them! It's guinea pig heaven.

I hope I'm back in the good books!

I hasten to add they DID have hay, pellets and water and technically only missed one meal but you would think i'd committed murder!

Hehe! Mine squeal like mad when I'm chopping, like I've not fed them for a week!

Hope your baby girl is feeling a little better today xx

Yes think i'm back in. Order has been restored and they have another varied dinner tonight to look forward to.

Thank heaven I changed the hay racks to massive home-made ones or they may have run out and then i'd been really shunned.

My daughter still isn't good, she's been back to the GP today but not re-admitted. She has a chest infection on top of the virus but hopefully now she has antibiotics she will start to get better. Thanks for asking! :)

I am sorry for your daughter's illness - it must be so worrying for you!

Piggies can make it very clear when they are getting substandard service, can't they?

I hope you daughter gets over her illness quickly! I am sure you weren't shunned and that they were just sulking. I find even when i fall out of favour because i am giving them meds i find a few veggies and i am back in there! :))

Hope your daughter is better soon! As for pigs they just make a mountain out of a mole hill. normally when I get home from work they get a bit of veg before I make my tea, however on days when I am pushed for time I will get our tea started before I make theirs.

This causes chaos in our house as they can hear the chopping and my poor paul has to go upstairs if he is on the phone as he can't hear himself think. Ohh and on occasion he eats a bag of crisps whilst I am getting their food ready and doesn't he hear about it from them :))
